Renta Boden is growing and is now looking for a self-driven workshop mechanic who wants to contribute to high operational reliability, quality, and development in one of the region's most expansive industrial areas.
About the Position
As a workshop mechanic at Renta, you will be responsible for service, maintenance, and repair of construction and civil engineering machinery – both in the workshop and out in the field at the large steelworks in Boden. You will work with a wide range of equipment – from lifts, generators, and small machines to heavy construction machinery – and become a key person in ensuring that the machines are always ready for use.
The work involves both planned service interventions and urgent repairs where problem-solving, technical understanding, and initiative are crucial.
Examples of Tasks
- Troubleshooting, service, and repair of construction and civil engineering machinery
- Component replacements, sensor adjustments, and calibrations
- Work with diesel and electric motors, vehicle electronics, and hydraulics
- Use of digital diagnostic tools (e.g., Jaal tests)
- Documentation and registration in digital systems
- Collaboration with colleagues and field staff to ensure efficiency and safety
About You
You are a practical and solution-oriented person with a genuine interest in technology. You thrive in a fast-paced environment with varied tasks, and you enjoy taking responsibility and seeing the results of your work.
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
- Experience in mechanics, troubleshooting, and service – preferably within construction, contracting, or vehicles
- Basic knowledge of vehicle electronics
- Understanding of combustion and diesel engines
- Good computer skills, preferably experience with digital diagnostic systems
- Driver's license (B)
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
It is advantageous if you have experience with welding, hydraulics, high-voltage electricity, or knowledge of other languages (e.g., Spanish, Turkish, or French).
We Offer
At Renta, you will find a workplace with freedom under responsibility, good development opportunities, and the ability to influence your own daily work.
You will receive:
- Permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period
- Wellness allowance of 3,000 SEK/year
- Reduced working hours (36 hours/year)
- Annual bonus that can amount to three monthly salaries
- Opportunity to borrow machines and depot vehicles
- Breakfast at the depot
- Company phone with free calls and 10 GB data
- Health check-up as needed
- Possibility of housing support through partner hotels (e.g., Scandic)
Regular working hours are 07:00–16:00, but the job may periodically involve on-call duty, evening work, and every fourth Saturday (11–19).
